2 weeks of unschooling and we are loving it!!!

Is it possible to learn anything while you are being" unschooled"? Let's see, Mac can tell you the name of each state by just looking at its shape, and most of the capitals. She can multiply numbers which she taught her self by doing computer games, has her own pocket watch and tells me the time every ten minutes and can count money like nobody's business - She loves learning about sea animals with Magic School Bus and has taught her self how to land a remote control airplane. She is also taking piano lessons which I need to start again.

Belle - well, she is learning to count money and is pretty good, has learned to add, subtract and multiply, better than she ever did at school.   She loves drawing and painting and her favorite is playing with all of her stuffed toys and dolls.  She can do tons of flips on the remote control airplane. Her favorite is Animal Jam where she plays lots of games to learn about animals and talk to her friends.

Since we got the iPAD I have caught both girls reading books that I downloaded.  Some of the books read to them, and some they have to read on their own, but reading is reading as far as I am concerned.

Not too bad for 2 weeks of unschooling.

Today was "dime day". For everything the girls did, they earned a dime.  We also had vendor's market today.  With all the stuff they have been doing they both earned over $10.

Mac bought 3 items for $9.25      and       Belle bought 3 items for 9.75
