one week ..... OF WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE WANT SCHOOL...

First thing this morning....Fashion show....This young lady and her friend are both wearing cowgirl clothing.

The second model is wearing a cowgirl outfit while her friend is in a belle costume...

This afternoon we went to the Children's Museum and the planetarium.  They loved the museum but were not too impressed with the planetarium. They both feel asleep, but Michael and I loved it.  The best room was the room all about pirates...

The girls had so much fun at the museum. Michael and I made the girls go to all the rooms before going to the children's part. There was a Coca-Cola room, car racing, antique furniture, knives and guns, weird art. There is also a trail with lots of flowers that I think we will do next time.

Day 6 Yep no breaks for us...

We are turning into rednecks. Check out the Mcintyre girl's cool hats!!!

Everyday is a learning day....  Let see.... Mac likes watching the solar system movie on Zoodles (that is on the iPAD), and Belle's favorite game is Animal Jam  - She has 20 friends now. I am impressed that she figured that out all on her own. Today the girls went and played at Daddy's work and set up cones and zig- zagged through them -- fun fun fun!

Our best activity today was when I got done with payroll and updating the website. We went to the dog park and man, did we have fun! I don't know if McKenzyey or Jack Coke had more fun. Belle kept getting knocked over by the other dogs, so we went to the playground, a pirate playground!

Day 5 - December 28th

We played Zoodels for awhile this morning, then Mac read Thumblina by Hans Christian Anderson. Belle played the Barbie game, and Mac played a really cool solar system game on our iPad. We haven't decided if we want to buy that one. The most fun we had was doing some more building on the kenz rollercoaster - it's coming along.  Mac did her 4th piano lesson - she is really liking it - Belle is just not interested so we'll see....

Day 4 of Unschooling

Today the girls mostly played with dad on our new cool game called Princess Isabella and the Witch's Curse.  You have to listen to the fairy, then search for hidden items in each room of the castle. There are puzzles that you have to solve, and locks you have to open in order to get new clues.  Belle played Animal Jam some and Zoodles - which has lots of educational games.  Then at about 7 the girls started on our kenx roller coaster that they got for Christmas.  We got to page 5 which was pretty good for the girls.

Christmas

Well,  maybe not much learning today, but man did we have fun!!! Santa was really good to us.
Santa brought a whole lot of clothes, shoes, beds, a bath tub, and a cooking set for our 18" doll.  We also got Kenix from Granny, and Real Flight for a remote control airplane. Aunt Nancy sent us plaid shirts and jeans which we have worn everyday since Christmas, and we got some coloring books.  Nana sent us the coloring  books and some puzzles.

We had a great day!

Day 3 unschooling

We mostly played today - we played on the Wii and watched Avatar, the live-action movie.  Once Dad got home from work we did our third piano lesson and learned another song.  We also just relaxed because it's two days till Christmas!

Day two

Day two. So far, so good! The girls played on the Wii and then played on Animal Planet for 2 hours.  Belle read Dick and Jane, Book 1, for 10 minutes.  We made cookies for Santa.  Reading and measuring were discussed in detail. Then we took a long walk with Jack and went to the pirate playground and played with some kids we met who were also playing there.  After that we went for some ice cream at Coldstone Creamery. Yummy!  Then we had our second piano lesson.  We learned the music alphabet.

Day One of Unschooling

Day one of unschooling went well.  Ok, not so good. Belle killed her angel I think it was because she got so mad at her sister.  They played on the National Geographic kids site for 2 hours.  Then they played on Tux Paint, and made some beautiful pictures. Then later that day we had our first piano lesson.  Not too bad for the first day - well, except for the angel .
