Donut, Quarter, Sleep in the living room -- Day 13

We first went for donuts and coffee for mom and dad, then we went to the store and got all of the stuff for the vendor's market, and for our kitchen science experiments.

For our first experiment we tried coloring white flowers. You buy white flowers (we bought roses and carnations) and then put the plant food with lots of food coloring in a glass. Next you cut the flowers and put them  in the glass.  What is supposed to happen is the flowers are supposed to drink colored water and that will color the leaves of the flowers.

Second experiment - kind of worked.  You pour milk onto a plate, then add food coloring to the milk and then add soap . We tried this four times.  We used skim milk the first two times, then we thought maybe you need whole milk, so we went to the store and got some. But that didn't work sooo we finally decided that it didn't work because of the gel food coloring.

Pour milk to cover plate or pie pan
Food coloring - 4 - 6 colors
hold cotton swab in center of milk for 10 sec

milk should make rainbow milk.
Here is what happened when we did it.

It didn't work - we think it's because of the gel food coloring.

Quarter day -- McKenzey earned $5.79 with a total now of $10.79
Belle earned $4.78 with a total of $10.29

Last, they slept in the living room on the floor.  Kids - they are so adventurous!
